Every workshop starts from a brain state.

An EEG records the brain's electrical activity as five frequency bands, from gamma at the fast end to delta at the slow end, and each band dominates a different mental state. Each Brainwave workshop takes one band as its starting point — the state it marks, the research behind it, and the practical tools that help a working brain reach it more often — taught by neuroscientists and shaped around your company before anyone steps into the room. Start from the state your team needs more of; the band tells you which session that is.

Plan your workshop

The Five Workshops

Gamma · 30–100 Hz · Peak processing

Precision Thinking

Gamma is the fastest rhythm the cortex produces, recorded when the brain binds information across regions into a single moment of insight. This workshop targets the neuroscience of high-performance thinking — how insight actually happens, which conditions make it more likely, and how decision-makers protect those conditions in a full calendar.

What we cover

  • How the brain binds information into insight
  • Decision-making under cognitive load
  • The conditions deep work actually requires
  • High performance without the burnout tax

For innovators and decision-makers who want to operate one step ahead.

Densely stippled ink mountains from Gong Xian's Landscapes with Poems
Gong Xian · Landscapes with Poems, 1688 · The Met, public domain

Beta · 12–30 Hz · Active focus

Cognitive Drive

Beta is the rhythm of active, engaged focus — the state most knowledge work happens in, and the one most workplaces quietly overdraw. This session gives teams practical tools to manage cognitive load, hold attention in fast-paced environments, and strengthen the memory systems that pressure erodes first.

What we cover

  • Attention as a finite resource — and how to budget it
  • Managing cognitive load under deadline pressure
  • Memory systems: encoding, consolidation, recall
  • Deep-work structures that survive a full calendar

For leaders and creatives carrying a heavy cognitive load at speed.

Fast, driving wave crests drawn in ink — Ogata Kōrin's Rough Waves
Ogata Kōrin · Rough Waves, ca. 1704–9 · The Met, public domain

Alpha · 8–12 Hz · Calm attention

Mental Clarity

Alpha appears when the brain is awake but quiet: calm attention, not switched off. A workshop for mastering calm attentiveness — attention-regulation strategies you can practise at a desk, an introduction to neurofeedback, and mindfulness taught as cognitive training, without the mysticism.

What we cover

  • Attention regulation you can practise at a desk
  • What neurofeedback is — and is not
  • Mindfulness without mysticism
  • Cutting the cost of constant switching

For teams losing concentration to cognitive noise and constant switching.

Theta · 4–8 Hz · Deep quiet

Still Mind

Theta rhythms mark deep meditative states — the slow rhythm of a mind that has stopped narrating and started observing. This session covers what actually happens in a meditating brain, and the measurable ways a practice supports resilience and emotional regulation at work, without asking anyone to take it on faith.

What we cover

  • What meditation measurably changes in the brain
  • Attention regulation and cognitive quiet
  • Emotional regulation under sustained pressure
  • A practice that survives a working week

For teams exploring meditation, resilience and emotional regulation.

Delta · 0.5–4 Hz · Restorative sleep

Sleep Science

Delta waves dominate deep, restorative sleep — the state every other workshop on this page depends on. A sleep workshop for employees and teams: sleep architecture, circadian rhythms and body clocks, and evidence-based strategies for rest, separated clearly from the sleep industry's marketing.

What we cover

  • Sleep architecture, stage by stage
  • Circadian rhythms and body clocks at work
  • What deep sleep does for memory and recovery
  • Evidence-based strategies for rest

For workplaces where sleep, recovery and body clocks need rebuilding.

Every session is adapted before it is taught — see how it's shaped.

Your team is the brief.

A corporate audience following a tailored Brainwave workshop session

The five themes are starting points, not a fixed menu. Before any session we learn how your company actually works — the pressures, the schedule, the audience — and rebuild the examples, exercises and depth around it. A sleep workshop for a night-shift operation is not the sleep workshop a trading floor gets. Themes combine: a full day can run focus in the morning and recovery in the afternoon, or fold three themes into a leadership off-site.

  1. 01

    Brief

You tell us about your team, your dates and what you want to change. A short call is enough.

  2. 02

    Shape

We rebuild the session around your context: your industry's examples, your format, your questions.

  3. 03

    Deliver

A neuroscientist teaches the session — at your office, your off-site or online.

  4. 04

    Keep

Your team leaves with the tools and the sources, not just the slides.

Formats

Every format runs in person or live online. Tell us your headcount and we'll recommend a shape.

One theme, any audience size. Science, stories and actionable tools from a conference stage or a town hall.
Half-day workshop
One or two themes with time to practise. The format most teams start with.
Full-day training
Several themes across one day, with exercises and your team's real cases on the table — the format Wise and LIBF booked.

Wellbeing practices for an online audience

Anne-Sophie was clearly very knowledgeable on her subject, and excellent at engaging an online audience — never an easy task — while helping them understand the benefits of different wellbeing practices. We would thoroughly recommend her as a speaker.

Questions Teams Ask

Can a workshop be tailored to our company?

Yes — every one is. The five themes are starting points, not a fixed menu. We shape content, examples and depth around your industry, your schedule and the room, from graduate intakes to founder cohorts to leadership teams, and combining themes into one session is common.

Who teaches the workshops?

Neuroscientists. Brainwave was founded by Anne-Sophie Fluri, a neuroscientist, and every session works from published, peer-reviewed research, with the sources cited in the materials.

Are workshops delivered online or in person?

Both. We run in-person sessions at your offices or off-site venue, and live online sessions built for distributed teams.

Which workshop should we start with?

Start from the problem, not the menu. Teams losing focus usually start with Cognitive Drive or Mental Clarity; tired teams start with Sleep Science. The enquiry form asks what you are trying to change, and we recommend from there.

Is this therapy or clinical treatment?

No. Workshops are educational: the science of how brains work and evidence-based tools for everyday mental fitness. We do not diagnose or treat, and we signpost professional support where a topic calls for it.

How large can the audience be?

Keynotes scale to auditorium audiences; interactive workshops work best in smaller groups so there is time to practise. Tell us your headcount and we will recommend a format honestly.

What does a workshop cost?

It depends on the format and the audience. The enquiry form asks for a rough budget band, and a band holds you to nothing — we come back with options.
